Comcast sucks.
About four days ago I got a call saying I needed to pay them.
Two days ago I set up automatic payment.
Today they shut my service off.
This morning I logged into the website from work and paid my full balance.
This evening, my service was still off.
I power cycled my modem, still off (all websites redirecting me to comcast)
I called. Eventually found my way to a human (they only want to let you talk to the automatic payment crap).
Except that the human wasn't listening. I was talking to an empty headset, listening to chatter in the background.
I called again. I was automatically redirected to billing still, but when I got to a human they told me my account was already activated.
So they transferred me to tech support.
And I waited on hold for a while.
Who told me to disconnect the power from my modem for 20 seconds.
It started working.
I asked if there was somehow something different between me pulling the power between me pulling the power for 3 seconds, and me pulling the power for 20 seconds. "Yeah, that's probably it."
I'm now convinced this is all a lie, and a mildly creative way to avoid saying "Sorry, we fucked up, I'll turn your access back on now."
