Bicycle design inspired by SCUL and Akira.

I did this last night: http://www.eternalmachinery.com/bicycle/

The frame is green (and not as thick or round as it should be). The frame and the chain go over the rider's head. I'm interested in opinions.

Update:
I think this guy's is better in every way :/

i thought a requirement of the akira bike is that it have dual wheel drive?

now, if you see the star trek movie, they had a hubless [electric] motorycle. that was neat. even more cool, is that hubless wheels exist now.

The akira bike also had a motor. And far from sufficient ground clearance to corner.

I haven't seen the start trek movie. I briefly considered trying hubless, but I don't think it would be cool enough to justify the increased complication and inefficiency.

is this something your're designing? if so, i didn't catch that. lots of recumbents out there.

oh, this might interest you:

Oh, yes.

I'm aware there are lots of recumbents. I don't think any are like this.

i think that if there's a derailleur involved anywhere, you're going to have nasty problems with chain whip. Possibly even if there isnt. Otherwise, looks interesting.
