In-floor fan?

I want to put a fan in my floor to blow air from upstairs to downstairs. Are there parts made to simplify this process?

I grew up in a house with an attic fan - it was quite a spectacular thing, very powerful. I suspect that such fans and their kits still exist today.

Yeah, my grandparents had an attic fan. I'm concerned about noise. And wondering about just punching a big hole in my floor, putting a grate over it, and a regular ceiling fan under it.
