used to have roommates and/or SO for such things, but since i stopped getting a room, i find i enjoy the spare money more, and the con becomes a day trip. too many other interests lately.
$400 + registration + PARKING is lots of money. why, that's rent for a month for a lot of people (group housing ;>)
as well, as many of the Northerners gave up on Southern cons, my interest in such road trips/etc vanished as well. though i'll still drive 999 miles to go camping with the right crowd ;>
