Electricity
My UPS has been beeping its dissatisfaction with wall power for a few minutes. Then I heard something else kick on elsewhere in the house, probably the refridgerator. And that made the UPS happy (and the lights get brighter). It had been at 91 volts input. I still haven't picked up a multimeter. Tomorrow for sure.

copper to copper joints rarely fail, but aluminum copper joins do . I recently had a phase of my hose go intermittent. Called national grid and they arrived an hour later and replaced the connections between my copper lines coming from the house and the aluminum lines on the poles. It was easy to tell which one failed as he tossed the clamps to the ground as he took them off...... one was too hot to hold on to.
