http://xdiskusage.sourceforge.net/ - finally a good way to figure out where my disk space went. Not new, I just hadn't found it. I was about to start writing it, but fortunately I'm in the habbit of making sure things don't already exist first. It's not new. And for remote servers for which you do not have convenient graphical access, you can do "du / > du.out", download the ouput, and run "xdiskusage du.out". There is an official debian package.
